Effective Date: July 1, 2026
The application Acts of Kindness, developed by Jhon Sebastian Hernandez (“we,” “the developer”), is committed to protecting user privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our mobile application.
1. Information Collection
The app is intentionally designed to operate with minimal data collection.
- Personal Data: We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your personal information, and we operate no servers that receive data from the app. Any content you choose to create — such as your display name, your journal reflections, or photos you attach to a memory — is stored only on your own device (see Section 2) and is never sent to us or to any third party.
- Location Data: The app does not request, access, or track your geographic location.
- Usage Data & Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Firebase), tracking SDKs, or behavioral monitoring systems.
2. Data Storage and Processing
All app functionality is initially executed locally on your device.
- Local Storage: Missions, challenges, progress tracking (streaks), daily acts, your display name, and any journal reflections or photos you add are processed using your device’s hardware and stored locally using Apple’s on-device storage mechanisms (SwiftData and UserDefaults).
- Deleting Your Data: Because everything is stored on your device, you remain in control of it. You can erase all of your data at any time using the in-app reset ("Fresh Start") in Settings, or by deleting the app from your device.
- iCloud Backups: While we do not operate a private server, data stored on your device may be automatically backed up to your personal iCloud account if you have enabled device backups. This data is managed by Apple and is encrypted according to Apple’s privacy standards. We cannot access this data.
